Edit your existing Office files in Blank
Open documents, spreadsheets and presentations, make changes yourself or ask an agent to work in the file.
Blank ·
Blank opens and edits Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations. Bring your files into Drive, open them in the relevant editor and continue working. You can make changes yourself or ask an agent to edit the file.
The agent can work on the content and its presentation: revise a section, format a table, add spreadsheet formulas or change a slide layout. You can inspect the result in the editor and continue making changes there.
Revise and format documents
In Writer, you can ask for a specific edit to an existing document or brief the agent to create a new one. A useful request names the section, the intended change and anything that must stay as it is.
Revise the executive summary for a client audience. Keep the scope and pricing unchanged, shorten repeated points and use tracked changes for the text revisions.
You can also ask for formatting work: consistent headings, clearer tables, adjusted spacing or a revised page layout. For a new proposal, specify the sections you need and how it should look. A restrained colour palette, a clear heading hierarchy and well-spaced tables give the agent concrete design requirements.
Review the document in Writer, where you can comment on the work and accept or reject tracked text changes.
Work on spreadsheet logic and presentation
In Sheets, the agent can add formulas, compare figures, format cells and create charts. You can give it a small change to make in an existing workbook or ask it to build a model from supplied data.
Add a variance column against budget. Format amounts in pounds, highlight overspends above 10% and add a chart comparing the totals by category.
Specify the inputs and calculations you want retained. After the edit, inspect the formulas and chart ranges in Sheets. You can adjust individual cells yourself or ask the agent to revise the calculation.
Build and refine presentations
In Slides, ask the agent to create a deck from a report or work on the presentation you already have open. Instructions can cover the content, slide order, charts, layout and speaker notes.
A request to “improve the design” leaves a lot open. Naming the changes is more useful: align the headings, reduce the text on a dense slide, enlarge a chart or apply consistent spacing. You can then inspect and refine the slides in the editor.
Use the files together
For a job spanning several files, you can also start from the Agent workspace. Add files beside the message box or reference them with @, then describe the outputs you need. An agent request can extend beyond a single file. Ask it to use a spreadsheet’s figures in a report, build a presentation from that report or create tasks from the agreed actions. It can also use relevant information from connected tools within the access allowed for the task.
Blank supports Word, Excel and PowerPoint file formats; specific features and formatting can vary between editors. For files with complex layouts or advanced features, check the result in the application your recipient will use before sharing.
