Terms

Terms of service.

The rules for using Blank, your responsibilities and what you can expect from the service.

Using Blank

These terms apply to your use of Blank’s apps, file storage and agent features. By accepting these terms when you create an account or subscribe, you agree to follow them.

Your plan sets out the features and usage included in your subscription. If your organisation has a separate written agreement with Blank, that agreement takes priority where it expressly differs from these terms.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not let another person use your account to bypass access restrictions or plan limits.

Personal and organisation accounts

For a personal account, you manage your subscription and decide who can access the files you share.

If you subscribe on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to enter into the agreement for it. The organisation is responsible for its subscription fees, authorised users and administration of its workspace. Workspace administrators can manage membership, roles and shared resources according to their permissions.

Before leaving or closing an organisation’s workspace, arrange any necessary transfer of administration and shared work. Removing a member does not by itself delete the organisation’s content.

Our core file-encryption protections and AI provider zero-data-retention requirement apply to personal and organisation accounts alike.

Your files and content

You retain the rights you hold in the files and other content you provide to Blank. You must have the permissions needed to upload, use and share that content.

You give Blank permission to host, copy, process and transmit your content as needed to provide the features you use, including editing, sharing, search and agent tasks. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to Blank.

Blank retains its rights in the service, software and branding. Your subscription gives you permission to use the service under the agreed terms.

Working with agents

AI-generated work can contain errors or omissions, and similar results may be generated for other people. Review outputs and proposed actions before relying on them or sharing them.

Give agents instructions you are authorised to carry out. Your responsibility to use the service lawfully also applies to work you delegate. Blank does not claim ownership of your outputs; any rights in them depend on applicable law and the rights of others.

Acceptable use

Do not use Blank to break the law, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, commit fraud or gain unauthorised access to information or systems.

Do not interfere with service availability, evade security controls or circumvent usage limits. Report suspected vulnerabilities to hello@blanksuite.com without accessing or disclosing another person’s private information.

Connections and third-party data

You choose which third-party accounts to connect. By enabling a connection, you authorise Blank to access and process information within the permissions you grant and to carry out the tasks you request.

You are responsible for ensuring that your rights to connected data permit Blank to access and process it, generate the outputs you request, and share those outputs at your direction. This includes any required permission from your organisation or other people whose information you provide. Access to an account alone does not necessarily authorise every use of its data.

Follow the connected service’s terms and applicable law. Review instructions and proposed actions that could change, send or delete information in another service.

Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability and functionality can change. Blank remains responsible for its own service and obligations under applicable law.

Responsibilities for personal information

For personal information Blank processes on an organisation’s documented instructions, the organisation determines the purposes of that processing and Blank acts as its processor. If the organisation is itself processing for another controller, Blank acts as a subprocessor for that information.

These roles concern the relevant workspace processing. They do not remove Blank’s responsibilities for information it uses for its own account administration, billing and service-security purposes. Each party must meet the data-protection obligations that apply to its role.

Subscriptions and charges

Your subscription price, billing period and included usage are shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically for the same billing period unless you cancel before the next renewal date.

Stripe processes payments on our behalf. When you subscribe, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for the agreed subscription fees at the start of each billing period. Keep your billing information up to date.

Additional purchases or usage charges require your agreement. If a payment fails, we may retry it and ask you to update your payment method. We may suspend paid features if payment remains outstanding after notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.

We will notify you before a subscription price increase takes effect. Increases apply from a future renewal, and you can cancel before that renewal if you do not wish to continue.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time by contacting hello@blanksuite.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal. You retain access to your paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, unless the account is separately suspended or terminated under these terms.

Cancelling does not automatically refund the current billing period or unused usage. This does not affect any cancellation or refund right you have under applicable law, or a refund we separately agree with you. Contact us if you believe you have been charged incorrectly.

Cancelling a subscription does not itself request deletion of your account or workspace. Download the files you need before paid access ends, and contact us separately if you want to close your account or request deletion.

Protecting the service

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address a serious breach of these terms, a security threat or a legal requirement. We limit restrictions to what is reasonably necessary to address the issue.

Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve it. Immediate action may be necessary to protect people, information or the service. Contact us if you believe a restriction was applied in error.

Changes to Blank and these terms

We may update the service and these terms to reflect changes in features, security requirements or the law. Material changes will be explained before they take effect where reasonably practicable.

Changes will not remove rights you have under applicable law. If a change materially affects a paid service, we will explain the options available to you.

Your legal rights

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and AI outputs require your review.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your statutory rights, including applicable consumer rights, remain unaffected.

If there is a problem with the service, contact hello@blanksuite.com so we can investigate and seek a resolution. This does not restrict your right to seek a remedy through the courts or another route available under applicable law.
